I'm glad their changing the logo....I was getting really tired of thinking everyone was out on 11M kites

good one! :thumb:

I think it is more important that they keep the model names, Rebel, Evo, Neo etc
If that changed, it would be a different game and too much work to get the confidence of buyers.

very sad, terrible business decision and at this point also poor way of announcing it! :nono:
be sure the next months will see a never seen marketing campaign! It's just starting!
And more expensive kites.... :angryfire:

Lost me. Over and out North and whatever you rebrand yourself. I'll look elsewhere.

I'm not a huge fan of the name but these are good points, I never chose a kite simply because of its name and I never didn't try a kite because of its name. As long as it's not a racial slur or something ridiculous that I'd have to explain to my kids, it's the kites that matter.

Now North/DuoTone might lose some soft goods sales if the logo or name is poor but I'm not about to switch kites until there is something better on the market. And there isn't. (Imnsho)

They have not chimed in and explained the motivation. In this day and age, customers expect transparency.
Then it seems like a waste of time and money to rebrand.
I have 3 North kites from 2016. All the bags zippers broken, I've contacted retailer and North. No replies. Tried to register my kites for extended warranty, the website didn't work, contacted them, no response.
Granted, I didn't follow it up to hunt them down, but I shouldn't have to.
Then you hear about a rebranding....

I'm looking around for new kites for this summer. I was thinking to buy previous year North Dice kites (or Ozone Enduro, not sure yet) from the shop.
And I really don't want to wait another year, I already waited since last year.
Should this brand name change make the North kites cheaper? I don't care about the name change, but if this will make the kites cheaper, I want to buy them cheaper too ;) .
