I believe that no amount of data tracking is a good thing.
In 2003 I wrote to the BBC about the future of mobiles, and predicted the smart phone, I saw where it was going. I also saw biometric linking to devices so that the authorities knew you were in x location, not just your phone. Soon you will be able to pick up your friends phone, look into the camera, or wipe your finger on a pad, and it will suddenly have your account, contacts, etc for you to use as if it was your own. This all presupposes a massive cloud. I also think that bandwidth will cease to be the commodity and become free, and in return we become the commodity. I don't want to continue this in a kiting forum, I'm here for kiting not to debate our digital lives. Its just that most people are not aware of just how evil this all is. Just one example, related to kiting...lets say you hurt your knee, and you look online for some searches like "Knee pain when flexing" Some years later you change jobs, and apply for health insurance. You read the coverage and find that your knees are excluded, no appeal, nobody decided it, it was decided for you by algorithms. Read Sergei Brin's PhD thesis on data mining.
I spoke to the people at PIQ, they say once you have the APP installed, there is no need for any account. Why is WOO different?
As for side loading apps, or "Unknown Sources" I check the checksum on the original app at playstore, then get my APK downloader to get one with the same hash, I then examine it with my laptop under linux, and once I am happy I load it to the phone, then I install it with a security app that can rollback.
If anybody has paired their WOO via BT without a Google account, please let me know. Even a PM will do.
