Hi,
What would be a common sense replacement interval for a chickenloop?
Been kiting with the same bar for three years now, replaced most of the lines already but not the chickenloop. Can't really check it for wear either because of the rubber protection around the rope.
Never had one snap, but just want a bit of peace of mind during those 30/40 knot days...
Thanks!

3 years can be 15 sessions or 500...
The CL does wear out. especially if a bit of sharp sand gets within the protection hose.
If you are closer to the 500 sessions and kite in 40 knots I would recommend to replace.

Rule of thumb....once you start thinking about it...just do it
Procrastinate and go out one more time in high wind and it will snap
Trust your gut

If only you new how your loop gets its pre formed shape..
Basically they stitch to death a bit of plastic inside the chicken loop outer, to make it hold shape.
Over time the internal plastic splinters and cuts the line. The shape of your harness hook groove on the loop is where it Will break...
Be careful

When the PU tube has very nearly worn holes where the hook rubs on it. Oh, like SaveTheWhales said.
