Their commercial strongly suggested that the quark is a product made by kitesurfers for kitesurfers what IMO is not true.
One sentence of warning in their commercial and in the manual stating that is not fully waterproof would avoid such disappointment.
Waterproof is the only selling point they have.
So the problem is - they have no product.
There are plenty other gimbals that are not fit for water use, so there is no need for another.

Even worse...
They actually show on their website the quark being submerged - in the foil video of Keahi at the beginning.
And the fact to rinse this thing after use (which they show in a video) also suggests that it is splashproof. How much splash or pressure will it handle, dear team Noir Matter?
Are there any happy custumors out there who still use it regularly?
I have had mine submerged, washed it after use and have had no issues with waterproofing. My only issue is the weight. When adding the line mount, camera, and the gimbal to your lines, it is pretty heavy. This is no problem if you are lit, fully powered. But, if you are riding with any slack in your lines or the wind is not really b;lowing, the thing is just too heavy to use on a line mount.
I think the best application for this is body mounted, hand held and used for other sports like moto and skateboarding.

I have dunked it quite a few times, and recently in salt water. No problems.
Every time I get mine wet it seems to be slightly blocked the next day. I need to force it a bit, but then it works fine after.

Make sure you rinse in in fresh water after you use it. Better to rinse it before you force it. Forcing it while it has salt crystals in the joint will probably cause wear, reducing the life of the Quark.
