Thanks for your brief explanations Peter !!
Is your extention arm - see my pic - part of UGO or where did you get it from ?
The guy in the vid I posted showed that due to the flex of UGO the Quarks motion might be hindered. I assume you didn‘t experience any problems in this regard ?!

Thanks,

Jürgen

After I got my GoPro, and the line mounts besides my home made, I ordered a handful of different 90 degree "arms" from different web manufacturers (cost almost nothing), so I could fiddle around with them and see which worked.

And found they had loads of good uses, one as seen here.

When using a safety line almost hidden (yellow line), you wont risk losing anything so no risk :thumb:

Only thing is, you should not "pull" the lines when you start alone, as you might accidentally change the camera angle, but you will learn to avoid this.
One learn not to do this anyways, as you could risk getting sand on the lens, so goes without saying really.
But you have to learn first the hard way ha haa :naughty:

How are the Quark's holding up?

Mine still works just splendid, use it quite often.

Have been in saltwater a couple of times, but I always seek not to have it down for long when it has happened.

Still works :thumb:

Gives a good smooth video, even like here where the kite is looped 360 degrees, out yesterday at home, nice:

thanks Peter,

which one was the line mount/ext. arm set up you used in the video ?
Would you recommend original Quark line mount to order in a set or rather go U go ?

I have heard the Quark line mount can break, but maybe the UGo can too?
Prefer the UGo myself.

Have used the extension arms like shown in previous picture.

Unfortunately I killed the Quark some days ago, was too long about relaunching and now it is dead...

Bugger, something that works so well - will think a bit now but might buy a new one, if still available, too good regarding stabilizing so might have to live with it not being able to be submerged for long, only short "rinses".
