Trust NYT or do the math yourself by calculating Arctic sea ice thickness by dividing DMI volume by MASIE extent. (The MASIE records only go back to 2006.). Arctic sea ice thickness has been increasing for the past twelve years, and is up 44% since 2012.

So I was talking to my muse and she counseled to beware of those who would dare you to crunch the numbers , those who might fear the the gnarred finger of the reaper, more than the withered digit wielded by the likes of humanus-niaveus
So I wondered out loud--- this missive, this crunching of the sea ice by the rays of an uncaring orb...could the answer be found without the need of calculation? can a mear mortal read the tea soaked bottom of the jug and savvy the organic remains of the day?...
i with the help of that sly and sultry miss, that demon who delves, by way of the pungent leaves, by divination of the dregs I see the wisp of wisdom so I dare to proffer: the reason the thickness numbers seem to climb is that all the thinner bits have melted...

Just a guess....
Cheers

Pure cut and paste from the first link on the page. Zero indication you have any understanding, like half your graphs with no scale or legend......

Global warming is a totalitarian doctrine, totalitarian “science”; it’s busted. Now the real fight for a clean planet begins & it starts with cultural sophistication, with the understanding that culture — sovereign national languages & cultures — is the most essential part of the environment. But that’s something totalitarian Canadian heads like Starsky there can’t comprehend, so we got some work to do removing his likes from power.

Yes, the US is the global leader in CO2 reduction; the EU one of the worst offenders:

To the best of my knowledge the UK was part of the European union in 2017. ( we leave on 29th March 2019, if you call it leaving!)
I hope who ever produced the data, is better at it than their geography.

Next....

These are questions that are national and global in scope, not ones for judges to decide one-by-one on a hyper-local basis.
