i just tried my first skim board the other day. Amazed at how it goes upwind. Better than my surfboard but no match for the foil. Still, lots of fun on the skim just trying to ride it. It is so squirly. Got no sense of direction. Next up, jumps!

Attach the single trap to the middle screw hole and one of the fin bolts.
Is there a middle screw hole hidden under the traction pad? Or is it missing from V6? Or am I the one missing something here? :)

I can have fun on my skim with my 12m kite in as low as 8 knots. A big reason why is that it's finless which makes it much more challenging to ride and gives it the ability to do surface shuvits because you lack the power to boost.

Here's some video of the skim:

you have a V6 60 in some older you could have the footstrap set ito middel position.

I had several Sectors in 60 now I have a Sector V5 54 this is such a funboard , ok it does not tack upwind like the older 60cm wides, but it is such more fun. my biggest kite is a 12m OZONE REO V4 in lightwind I add 3m extensions onto the 25m lines...so with 28m lines and my 82 kg I kite when others use 17/18 m tubes and or foilkites...I like it much more that the "boaty" "racy" feeling of the 60cm wide sector's
dude :cool2:

As a lighter rider my go to board is a session.....same shape as a door - but smaller - 141 - gives me a couple of knots on my usual fly radical - and you can jump, carve, wave ride as well

Gotta love a finless door when it's shallow! Not only because no other board can ride in the shallowest places, but also because there is a substantial benefit from the ground effect. Skim board would work well too, (that's what they're made for!), but the door will have the advantage going upwind due to a longer edge/twist. If you go upwind, there's potential for fun!
It has to be shallow and slimey! Shallow over barnacles isn't worth it! It's all dependent on your local conditions!

Here's an old video where riding the extreme shallows on a door was an absolute session saver.

YES, unless you are riding in like 6 inches of water.
