We are a group of experienced kite surfers ( old 45 years old ) who which to visit Santa Veronica around Nov-Dec this year. We've been travelling around for years now and never visited Colombia.
Any idea whats the winds and conditions like at this time ? how is the spot? Any wave?
We also love the night life so considering in staying in Kartagena and to travel to santa Veronica just to kite. Is it possible to kite in Karagena ?

Is there good places to sleep in Cartagena ? any night life there ? things to do ?

Any word on the place will be highly appreciated as information is quiet thin.

Not sure where Santa Veronica is, but I travelled along a part of the coast and put all ito the spots section of this site. Have a look.
Cartagena has lots of Kiting, but I think wind starts December...Best Jan-Mar.

Of course there is lots of nightlife too.

Many hotels to choose from.

Santa Veronica is a place that usually gets the wind season in late December and the wind blows until April-June, in this moment we have 2 weeks of wind, its call a little summer. The wind speed varies between 15 to 30 kts, it has a good wave for beginners and intermedia kiters, the wave never brakes that hard.
There is no night life in Santa Veronica and the closes city is Barranquilla (30min by car, not that much of public transportation.
I personally live in Cartagena, its located 50min from Santa Veronica, Night Life is amazing and a lot of restaurants, discos, bar and hotels. Actually we are considering to stay in Cartagena and if possible to kite there and in Santa Veronica.

So if we consider to come late November/beginning of December it is not good time ?

At least one missing I believe. Manzanillo del Mar is a kite spot as far as I know?

Would be cool to hear from locals how the conditions are throughout the season. And if Colombia is hit by the weaker winter winds the same way Cabarete seem to be.

I am really surprised that not many people visited Kolumbia for kitting, kartajena and area. It seems like a nice trip with all package (wind, wave, food night life) but cant get any information from travelers
