Lots of new photos to sift through. I feel less bothered by the change seeing some of these shots and suspect it’ll be BAU pretty soon. Fortunately for me the new kites don’t inspire my lust so money will stay in my pocket this year. Yippee.

SHIT they went back to the old schizoid / ADHD / had a spasm while holding the mouse color scheme. Just a bunch of color blocks thrown at the kite on the computer screen (hey look I don't know what I'm doing with the graphics!).... brings back nightmares of the pre-2014 North kites. I like the Duotone logo though...

50/50 chance 'Duotone' survives the name change. No Shannon at Best? No Lou at Wainman? How'd that work out for them? Would be like if Pete or Robbie left.

I really hope Duotone manages to make it without Lowell North... I guess he is turning 90 next year so he had to retire at one stage.

Only their common sense.

Those graphics suck

Only thing I like is the pink rebel bag, think I might buy one and chuck the kite in the dumpster, best place for a Rebel.

Some of the boards look nice though. Agree the kites look terrible.

Good point, but the at hand challenge is very expensive. Everything you have ever seen that is still in use by North that will be used in the future will need to be changed to Duotone, this is a monumentally huge challenge and will take a ton of cash. I suspect they will be fine, increase market share not likely, will retailers feel more compelled to get behind Duotone not likely, bu the smart ones will see this as an opportunity to inspire people to turnover their gear. Off program sales i.e. influencers will be off the charts, as they can't be seen on anything that is not current. The secondary market for North will dwindle fast with insiders. All in all change is good, as long as your part of it and you have a ton of cash, a ton!

I like the 2018 kites but the were a bit too stealthy in the sky and too similar between types.

Based on that video, the kites are more visible in the sky.

I still don't understand why the kite size can't be printed plainly visible in large numbers on the canopy.

The most expensive change I've seen are on the molded parts where the logo was changed
