As mentioned, the lines are crap, they still use sleeves, some bar parts are very prone to breaking, bridle lines are crap, and stitching on the kites -although neatly done- is all over the place in areas that shouldn't be weakened. And some of the contruction details are pretty mediocre too, mostly in the LE and near the battens. Had their share of quality issues too in the past, like any other brand.

You know, the kites are fine, it's not bad or anything, but certainly not amongst the best. Performance wise there's a better alternative for every model they have, and I also think that they have had fundamental design flaws for quite some time until not so long ago that they fixed by adding other stuff. They are getting better in that regard though. And they were very late to the game for adding a decent inflate, something like that should be inexcusable for such a big player. They're not the only ones though.

And guess what? They rip apart just as easy as most other kites when you got some pinholes.

And you pay top dollar for all that. Guess who's paying for that big marketing at the moment...
I Would like to know what is your best and top quality kite of all :)
Build quality, Core and Crazyfly. With Ocean Rodeo, Switch, Airush for example close behind. Peformance mostly Ozones, though the new Catalyst really sucks. And they do it without having to fix design issues.

North is in the same league as Naish, SS, Cab for me, and I don't consider those the best. Good, but not the best. Feel free to disagree, but I don't really care :)

Well if 'true' means mediocre quality and design, I'll skip.
Mediocre quality? That's not what North is known for.

True. Core has very good quality, but come on, design of colours are terrible, only white and yellow, it seems Vatican flag. Black? Sun uv rays are grateful, and from dusk till dawn you see nothing but a shadow. Chicken loop and ejection? Ughhh! You have to twist not to pull to eject the kite...

Crazyfly? Ugliest name than Duotone

I used to have two Ocean Rodeo Rise... Race and upwind machine, tons of apparent wind, but Worst kite i ever had, lot of backstall and frontstall, and ejected almost kill me. OR Mako? I felt in love at first ride. My unique board last 6 years, though there were some delaminations issues.

Switch? A cheap brand, bars are lowest quality than most, deflation valves looks weak... and are weak. You get what you pay for.

Airush? I had a Protoy kiteboard. After two seasons It broke in the middle only riding in choppy waters, not even falling a single jump.

Ozone?
I like it.

Would be funny if North Sails named their kitebrand 'True'

Maybe North is saying ‘True North’ and not the previous user of name (Duotone)

It feels like they are anticipating North to use is so they grabbed the slogan.

Kind of a bad move, because it makes me think of True North everytime .. their competitor

I didn’t watch all the videos, but I’m legit confused—is Duotone the brand and “true kiteboarding” the slogan?
