Just read about hurricane Florence coming closer...they say it’s the biggest hurricane since many years...remembering the last big hit on Hatteras and the destruction...it could turn out really bad.

Good luck to all you guys in the area, hopefully things don’t get really bad.

Fingers crossed and stay safe!

If it goes as forecasted it wont be stronger than Matthew back in fall of 2016 on which we kited 12 hours past the peak and had fun.
Also with wind direction Avon will be spared of water blown onto it so much.
However north of Rodanthe the dune is going to be gone for a week again with no access besides 4x4s

Coastal areas are totally screwed though.

Good luck OBX, even though you screw up our prime kiting spot with jug handle bridge instead of screwing up 2 miles of wetlands to build a raised bridge over land.

Live webcam from a tower @ 20 miles east(in open ocean) of Cape Fear or the Wilmington, NC area. Well south of OBX
