It is with the first gen ride engine.

I’m usually surfing 95% of time, low wind high winds, doesn’t matter.
I wnat to have the option of hooking when jumping or back rolling with the surf.

The rope is fine for that but when jumping with the hook you get up a few feet higher and a more direct feeling.

It’s all about feeling
Anyways I’ll try it and if it’s a bad idea , I’ll let you know

If its gusty or I'm too bagged or there is some other reason Im not going to unhook, Ill do the odd TT session without switching from the slider. Boosting is just fine. Don't notice much difference. Worth it just to ditch the dangly leash.

Carrying the hook for 95% of the time unused is your choice.

Opinions on the Dynabar with closed U "hook".
Would it feel like a standard hook or maybe a bit more pivoty? Thanks
