The story is following:
we filmed many days at the same spot at the the same time.
Wind direction was always the same.
But, on that day the wind didn't turn yet...and I didn't do a test jump...because it all was the same...
Since it didn't turn, the wind took me towards the beach...normally it takes me into deep water...
That's why I crashed on the beach...but luckily I use my 18 sqm kite...which means the kite brings me down soft...in this case too...I hurt my foot a bit, had pain for a week...but with a smaller kite I am sure it would have been worse.
I just dragged out of the picture, but then I stopped a bit further...all under control.
Lesson learned: even if you think it is all the same...do test jumps before you gor for it...a few degrees difference can be enough to crash like that.
And I am not alone...a friend of mine told me he had the same experience...same spot
But some other crashes on this video look really bad...specially the one on the rocks...hopefully all of them made it just fine.
