I am currently developping a 3D Printed support for the Gopro Fusion in the line.
You can see the attached pictures.
I prefered to have the camera facing the kitesurfer. To prevent tangling the mounting is very compact, no trap for the lines.
The design is based on the one I used for the Skyteline. On one side, I use the green rubber pieces to block the line and on the other side, the line can move so that the safety line is still working.
Hello, would the new DJI osmo pocket be a nice camera since it has a gimbal for a line mount ? BTW I think so since Gopro 7- Has Fisheye, it has better low light capability and gimbal is should always be better then built in stuff.

Has anyone seen/tried mouting a GoPro Fusion 360 degree camera on kite lines? Any links to a video? I've seen a video of a Garmin Virb 360 from a line mount perspective posted around here. Seemed cool and the horizon level worked nicely. Just wondering why there hasn't been more Fusion videos. Most of the youtube Fusion kite videos are with a selfie stick.
Here is my effort from last month. Its a kite buggy video but using the Fusion and an LEI. Jump straight to 5:17 for the kite bit. It was done using a selfie stick rather than onto lines as you requested.
Here is a video of the Go Pro Fusion in my U-Go Line-mount using Final Cut and keyframes on the Roll Axis to Level the Horizon. Worked great. Super happy I will not need to buy another Quark from Noir Matter.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. Was debating between the Quark and the Fusion (not that I need either) but Fusion looks to get a nice stable view. If you post any full 360 videos please update! I'd like to know what the U mount looks like on the other side.

Hi,
I just got the Osmo Pocket. It is great, but it wont work as a Line Cam. The Gymbal can only rotate from -230° to +50° so it won't be able to do more than one rotation before blocking. #
Once the Waterproof case comes out though, it will be great for all other handheld or Mounted (Helmet, Chest or Board) water shots. I am noit really impressed by the size of it, but also about the Quality of the Video. The Footage is a lot sharper than the Go Pro 7, but Video mode lacks any Flat Color Profiles, which is a bit limiting.
I just finished my 2019 Edit after 3 weeks in Capetown. I have used mainly the Gopro Fusion (and a Gopro 7 for a few shots).
You can have an idea of the various options that the fusion give.
I was the one posting quick snowkite-video from Finland. We don't have fusion so no example on it on lines. Fusion-kite videos I've seen are stick or board mount.
Here is another video from Finland, Rylo 360 is the camera. I cannot tell aboutt edit process how it works.
what do you use for a line mount for the rylo? And does the rylo have a remote, so you can turn the camera on and off remotley? If not how are you turning it on and off.
