I don't think this summer with the brands I'm in touch with. Maybe with a brand working secretly, who knows.

Yes that IS exiting.
Also the Aluula that Ocean rodeo is starting to use is exiting, and sounds like the perfect material for Bruno's idea. Its not patented by OR, and Aluula is for sale for more brands.
Maybe Vantage kites will bring in Aluula soon too, they do have the benefit of there software so they might be faster than any other brand to work out the different effect this material will have on the flying abilities of the kite.
Might just give them the head start.

Did any diy builder try to make a HPK? Anybody has a good supplier for the sleeve? Best I could find is 40mm polyester protective sleeving from Farnell. Minimum 25m.

Today I made a test tube and tested stiffness.
These were the results.

When pumping to 4 bar the tube burst near some ugly stitching.
The energy a tube can withstand before buckling really goes up with increased pressure!

Can you please also report how much pumping strokes did it take to reach each milestone? I highly suspect the dependency is not linear, so it is not 3 times more effort to get it to 3 bars compared to 1.
My test on bicycle tire:
2->3 bar 4 strokes
3->4 3
4->5 2
5->6 3
This was road bike, though, while MTB would be more accurate and realistic.
