Presumably there will be live coverage on the KOTA website, but I don't see a link for it yet or any mention of it??
There should be live stream.

Once I have the link I will post it here

I think this is the best ever line up for King of the air, nice mixture of older experienced riders (Aaron Hadlow, Kevin Langaree, Jessie Richman...etc) and new powerful riders like Positeo Martinez, Carlos Mario and Liam Whaley. There is also a great new mix of unhooked tricks, rotations and board off's. I'm going for a Liam Whaley win, with Kevin or Aaron in the top 3.

I don’t know...but look out for Carlos Mario.
I assume Top 3.

Aurelien will have the most variety of hooked tricks.

Heat 6 will tell us more!

I can't see a rider from a warm tropical climate like Brazil or Dominican Republic winning king of the air, they just don't get the punchy high 40knt+ winds. Cape Town really suits riders used to cold dense air, this suits British, French, Spanish, Dutch and South African riders

So it's 4.30am here in Cape Town and I'm wide awake already with excitement. I can hear the wind and waves outside and a check of the BKA meter shows it's 9m conditions for normal humans at kite beach:

For those that have never been to Cape Town that meter might not look impressive but believe me, if it's 14k on the BKA meter you are rigging a 9 for a great session.

Latest update from windfinder has it building solid from midday and decent swell too:

Looks like enough wind to start the even now.

I see Oswald has replaced Sam after a pretty bad crash

Can I ask what's the Prizemoney this year?
I do see it's distrubuted accordingly:
1st 25%
2nd 18%
3rd 15%
4th (3) 5.5%
Equal 7th (3) 3%
Equal 10th (3) 2.5%
Equal 13th (2) 2%
Equal 16th (2) 1%

So you never leave with nothing. (I hope flight costs and accomodation is covered as well)
