What they really should do is postpone the broadcast by a few minutes and then give the scores right away after the trick is landed. Possibly listing whatever trick we just saw and the height. That would greatly enhance transparency.
Also, what's up with the "needs"-points? Only if they have only one jump left, this wording is correct. Otherwise they can improve step by step.
