I wonder if the new designer was Bill Hansen? I believe he said he was doing some work with SS.
What happened to Dave Russell then, did he get 'let go' suddenly like just about everyone else who's worked there over the years, they are such a shit company to work for.

Not sure if he did everything, but he did work on the new bridle.

Interesting he was able to supposedly help this kite do what the new Krypto is meant to do. Waiting for more reviews on both from the average rider.

Slack is not the same as before, but still pretty good. in a practical way, mean that now you have to be more aware of your trimming before unhooking. A very Solid Kite in the air, Still have the DNA of RPM but now little more into boosting and Looping, In my personal opinion an excellent all around kite.
I'm riding RPM since 2016, and sponsor by Slingshot but I'm being as honest as I can. Hope it could help you.
Cheers

What would you say about the jumping attributes compared to years past ? I thought the older versions jumped ok.Are the jumps really much higher/floaty ? Would I even notice? My issue as I posted earlier in thread was I wanted more height for big loops. Seems like i wasn't high enough at times to get the kite around to catch me,was always trying to get higher but that sometimes would get me out of position. In higher winds it wasn't an issue. Also, are the loops wimpy/weak now compared to earlier versions.I'm always looking for more violent pull that will pull me down wind like I'm shot out of a cannon! I'vw flown rpms sinc 2011. Thanx

No one mentioned this video.

“Buttery feel (2:38)” As a big RPM fan I don’t like the sound of those words.

In previous years, the RPM was very technical to achieve high jumps. You needed a lot of speed and a perfect POP, all this at the right time to create regular good jumps, and whenever you got height, you descended very fast. Now in 2019 the difference is immediately noticeable, the Kite is more agile and this is part of what helps to enjoy it more. It has better Lift but even better a soft descend. The Looping was improved by being able to complete a little more pivotal. The combination of jumps in height with more regularity and faster Loop, allows megaloops to recover the kite before reaching the water.
In my opinion it became a much more suitable kite for the concept of current freestyle (Mix of Old School, and progressive wakesstyle)
