UGO Linemount / North Click Bar

Postby Beardytello » Thu Dec 27, 2018 12:08 pm

Hi Guys,

Has anyone been successful in mounting a ugo mount to a click bar?

I found that just above the Y the lines are too thick to fit in the runners.

The area on the lines where they thin out looks too high up, i.e it would actually bring the lines back towards each other and affect the kite / snap the mount.

Are the lines thicker than Slingshot or Switch lines? There's a runner for thicker lines.

I've not seen either of those lines, they only "just" don't fit. I'll see if I can find a thicker runner.

Thanks!

Bottom 11m are from "3mm" dyneema. Same as the single power- and flagout line on the other Duotone/North bars, so quite a lot thicker than any other flying line.

From what I see those lines won't fit that mount unless they bring out a specific version for the click bar as the flagout line is too thick to fit freely through the slot in the mount.

Thanks Bill, I've just found and ordered some inserts for thicker lines.

Will update this thread with results for you Leon!

I'm also interested in this having been impressed with U-Go mount. I'd seen the wider inserts and hoped they'd be sufficient for the North/Duotone bar. My concern is that the way the pink line flaps around when trim is pulled on. This would mean camera isn't very stable and would give wildly panning shots as it swings from side to side. Not great viewing!
Putting the camera above the split would mean it's a long way up for such a wide lens.
I think this problem is due to the bar design and would be the same irrespective of which GoPro mount was used.
