Is there a list of watches, which are confirmed to work with your app? I'm looking for a cheap, maybe chinese, solution. I don't need a smartwatch for anything else. So a little GPS and the woo app would be just fine for me.
Just got a report that Asus Zenwatch 2 is now working with Woo Screen too. Actually the issue was not with the watch, but with the localization used on the watch (decimal point to be exact - a lot of countries use coma instead of a dot for decimal point). That was a bug on my side, which is thankfully fixed now in version 0.57 of the watch app. Thank you to everyone who was patient and helped me to fix it (thanks Lars and Alex :thumb: ), and sorry to everyone who was affected by this bug :(

So now I'm even more confident that the app will work on most Wear OS 2 devices. If it for some reason doesn't, I'll do my best to fix it on my side, you just have to let me know :D

No support for Tizen? Bought a Galaxy watch. Bummed it doesn't do Wear OS.

I regularly test the app on 4 different watches:

Fossil Sport
Huawei Watch 2
Nixon Mission
Polar M600

The cheapest one now is Fossil Sport ($99). Technically, any watch with Wear OS 2 will work. Once in a while there can be a problem (someone with Asus ZenWatch 2 reported one today), but if you contact me and help me diagnose it, I'm certain it will work on any model :D . In fact, I'd appreciate if everyone who has a problem with the app contacted me and helped me to diagnose it, so I can fix any leftover bugs. I can't test the app on all watches on the market myself :(

Stay away from Chinese watches that run on pure Android, not Wear OS. Those are not compatible at all.

GT and GT2 use proprietary Huawei OS which is not compatible with Google Wear OS apps, so that is a hard NO.

Huawei Watch 2 is good, I have them myself and used them in a demo video below. If you buy them online, just make sure description mentions Android Wear OS - it gets confusing with similar names online :D

I know, Samsung should have made Tizen backward compatible with Wear OS apps. I doubt I'll get to it any time soon - I don't even have a Galaxy watch anymore :(

The Huawei Watch 2 looks very nice too, but it is IP68, I had before a waterproof Casio to 5ATM, will the IP68 be eough for kiting?

I chose the Polar M600 for that reason. It is only IP68, but the watch (the computer part) is "encapsulated" in the plastic bracelet. So it is well protected from the water, even if you fall hard.
Therefore, the design of the Polar M600 is... well... some people find it ugly. But it's strong !

As usual, no way to know for sure how long it will last. I did use mine on water, so far it is fine.

I usually put Tear-Aid patches over all open holes (mic, speaker) on the watch. On Huawei Watch 2 I found only one opening, probably a speaker - I taped it too. On Fossil Sport I found 2 microphone openings - taped too. I can post a picture when I get home if anyone is interested.
