Outside the name I'm really interested to see what they are going to do to have a competitive edge in the market? There are so many companies all doing similar things. I just seeing it hard to start from scratch and be successful without doing something different. What's the blue ocean strategy?

So just from the pic, any chance Peter Stewie is designing for the New North?
Just what I thought :-) It looks like an Eleveight kite with ZZ North Prototype printed on it ;-)

In our times : do 3d scanning of pumped best few kites in the market (or simply detach parts) than open file in 3d kite modeling program or similar, than split to selected parts digitaly to have precize files for making. Than make protorype of it and simple retune with some improvements as you wish, new kite is created :)
Personally i think real inovations in kite design today making flysurfer, ozone, elf. Other just retuning the same kites, no real step engineering development progress.

I'm interested to see what Vantage (I think that's the name) can do to improve design.

To me it comes down to price or some factor that is going to make me pay that extra bit. I know it's different for each person. Would love to see market data on things such as brand loyalty, decision factors, cost of customer acquisition.

I would assume most are just doing it out of pure passion for the sport and the lifestyle. I'm happy with the gear available, but the business side intrigues me.

Great photo and nice design. Would be interesting to see in Kota batle north vs duotone kite:) by the way maybe someone knows why in second marked not possible to find kite with redbull logo on kite ? Their not permitting to sell it or simply what ? Never saw redbull logo on kite in used kite market. Someone saw it ?
The riders probably need to remove the Red Bull logos before selling.
A local rider has kites with the Red Bull logos, but the logo magically disappears when they are sold.

The only similarities with Eleveight are the choosen colors . The kite itself from this picture and from the vídeo of the designer ( ex cabrinha) posted in another thread, IMHO it looks like a Switchblade , five strut platform ,one pulley ,bow style kite. It makes sense because it's a proven design , a good starting point and NJ won a KOTA on it ....
The fight will be not Duotone/North but Cabrinha/North instead , will be interesting see if Cabrinha keeps the Switchblade for 2020 or it will change it....
Funny how many Switchblade detractors will buy one in the near future for their blind love to show an " N " in their kites...

North Kiteboarding’s new product range is currently under development and will be released globally in June 2019 for the 2020 model year.

Pretty smart to release in the beginning of the northern hemisphere summer...

News just in! I wonder what it means for the mystic riders. Maybe something similar that NP and Cabrinha team riders have going on? Also great to see North kites getting another push forward!
