Duotone Neo Maui sessions....guest star a tiger shark

Postby haiku » Wed Jan 23, 2019 5:54 pm

The new Duotone Neo is a dedicated wave kite. The drifting capabilities are excellents and the steering is very responsive even when the lines are slacked. I’ve found this kite also good for jumping expecially in overpowered conditions.

The new click bar is clean and efficient, after a lot of sessions I’ve checked the lines : no problem at all. In the introduction you can also see a tiger shark that showed a very aggressive behaviour. While I was kiting at Kanaha (School beach) this shark suddenly came up on the surface and then he went straight towards me showing his teeth, when he was very close, he gave up from attacking me :D .

Soon a complete review on the web site www.standuppaddling.it.

Cheers

Carlo

Nice one Carlo, very cool video. Will be coming over to Maui next week with a friend and we're hoping to catch some good wind.

Thanks. Maui can't disappointed you even when It is windless, there are a lot of interesting things to do :thumb: . Nevertheless I hope you can find perfect conditions. Have fun and ride safe.

Cheers

Yeah, I'm bringing all my camera gear and will hopefully get to take some nice photos when hiking on the down days. Any recommendations for "must-dos" - feel free to shoot them over.

Hi. As I said the Neo turns very well even when the lines are slacked. The bar feedback is good, while I was riding small to medium waves I've never experienced any back stall even under powered. Sometimes with the 12 I had to loop the kite during the bottom turn, but this happend only in marginal conditions.

Cheers

Carlo
