Apparently, from what I understood, the judges could istantly see the height of the riders. Anyone got an idea how this is done? Is this possible with the bluetooth function of WOO guess thats +/- 50m distance right? Any rumors of getting a similar functionality for people who come and watch you on the beach? Contacted them once on such a functionality and they said they were working on something like it...seems like they got it working now. We do see hardware updates, hopefully soon we will also get some software updates!

I would also like to know how this works.
Very cool indeed...but even cooler if everyone could see this on a display! Big plus for the spectators!

Is it done with current version of Woo or this is the future model?
Seems that they do a hardware update every year. Should we expect something new soon? GPS built in maybe?

Probably it is an optical system, couple of cameras and software with good calibration can estimate distances and heights very precisely.

When the commentator said that the judges can see the woo height, the other commentator tried to say something instantly but didn't. I assumed that this was just missinformation, but that is my gut feeling from playing too much poker!
Little edit: would be cool if it works tho!

Probably using a measuring toy. Is there an alternative ? Pretty amazing to think that the highest jumps, 18 m or so, are only just over half the height of other jumps that have been made recently..

Pretty amazing indeed...however doing tricks at those heights is even too much for these guys atm. Btw wind was relatively low and also spot is different than to where these records are jumped
