Greatest kite is the one you can sell for more than you paid. The FED is seeing to we can all join that club. Otherwise resellers, and those with tight connections were all members. Some even pay nothing for their gear and try to get full retail when they sell it.

The other choice is the kite that cost less than 25% of the others. Any money back is already far more than 50% back.

After 17 years kiting, I am not sure there are simply great companies. Definitely no perfect ones. There are great kites and bars and boards, and bad ones, and many styles. No one hits a home run every time.
The greatest kite is the one u can sell second hand at more than 50% of it’s retail value...
So what is the worst kite? And who has made them? The big five, possibly?

Think Ozone "Summit" - can't even find a team rider that would buy one for more than $75 complete. How about "Old North" kites that the valves would delam on the first session. And what about the Naish Sigma shape (useless, but not detrimental), or their phased out "Octopus inflation system". Don't forget the Cabrinha "impossible rubik's cube" CL release. Still the list not only goes on, but is also ongoing.

Ya, I would totally put my faith in a kite just because it came from one of the best known brands - that's sarcasm for esl forum readers.

Like BM said, good and bad with any company.
