Looks like a Bitch Fight.
Buy-ins, looking at other, it's all lack of authenticity.
I hope NTG can add something to the kitesurf world and B&M keep their head cool. Keep doing the things that made them a leader in our industry.
If it becomes a marketing battle Bitch fight I hope other more innovative Brands like Flysurfer & Ozone would win some battleground.

Since Jesse's kite was lying on the beach in the middle of the spectator area (not in the competitor rigging area, maybe on purpose
) for a long time after the finals I took a few pics. Looks like an 8m and will be named R1

Was expecting to see something a little more exotic in the material department and build quality from the North Technology Group that apparently pushs the envelope with industry-changing advances in fiber, film and adhesive technology for weaving and laminating sailcloth... Maybe Dyneema Composite Fabric, Composite Dacron or 3Di Tech.

Looks a lot like the peter lynn navigator control bar.
I'm interested to hear about the dealer network. I can't see NTG deciding that online is sufficient for their brand? B&M have built up a good dealer network that they retained when they rebranded (and you wouldn't want the hassle of dealing with both brands at the same time). I'm trying to think of an emerging brand that has built up a dealer presence. Most of the small brands go online only or small number of shops (Switch, Takoon, Harlem, Ten etc.) so interesting to see how that model works. Most of the shops I know already have a fairly full catalogue of products so what would be their incentive for changing to an emerging brand?

Seems like NTG has bought Mystic, so every Mystic dealer will have to sell NKB now...

I was in the cabrinha kite shop in big bay (cape town) and there was a surfboard packed up, just arrived from delivery and the guy from the store was talking to a regular (seemed like it), saying it was the new board of jalou from north. No idea if it was true or not but they didn't laugh after saying that or anything and he didn't unpack the thing in the store. Just picked it up and took it to the back. That was almost 2 weeks ago.
