It's time to replace my old 6-5 for cold water.
What're the best latest wetsuits?

Not sure about your ice cold water. We don't have snow. Our winters get pretty cold and the water gets down to about 10 degrees C. We're toasty warm all through winter. The suits have to be at least as warm as any other 6mm suit you're going to buy.

We are extremely happy with these: https://needessentials.com/collections/ ... ermal-hood

The price and service is excellent. Shipping within Australia is very fast. Don't know about other places.

Great Lakes Canada Ice and sub-zero C temperatures in Winter. I have a dry suit and don't like it, so only the latest 2019 wetsuits with the latest Japanese limestone tech.

Custom, #40 Yamamoto neoprene, for not much more than off-the-rack. Looks like the thickest they make is a 5/5 hooded though - https://7till8.com/products/custom-mens ... ed-wetsuit

+1 for Need Essentials. Best price for a high performance neoprene suit bar none. If it fits you, you'll be so stoked. :thumb:

However I'll be the first to say that a drysuit is such a better investment imo. I've been using the same OR Soul drysuit for 5+ years now and it's still going strong. Feels just like riding in my snowboarding clothes.
On the coast I prefer a wetsuit since CA waves and drysuits don't mix well. :thumb:

There is no question if you kite in ice cold 0C/32F waters and don't want to use trad. drysuit.

Ion Fuse

Not affiliated or I am not using but my friends are. They say that it is almost too warm. But if you are not very cold resistant. Downside is stiffness.

Second option is Ripcurl Flashbomb 5mm with orange inside with fur. I use that one on freezing waters. Nice one too .
