Pullstrings,
In that other thread, you mentioned that you had 3600 sessions and now we are down to 1020?
You say that you have the old 2011 bar w/o titanium reinforcement plate
Correct without titanium
The 1020 is only for those 2 bars for past 7 3/4 years
3600 is amount since i've started Feb 1999 with all kinds of kites and bar brands....based on 180/year...some months i kite 10 days and some 20...in the end avg. 15 / month
I also have 5 bars North 2011 all in great shape that had maintenance done but also had no breakages
So total of 7 kite sizes with own bar/ lines that i never detach.....all kite sizes tuned individually to their own bar
I say if you have the cash to do that ...go for it....because putting lines on and off is really a hassle waste of time for me....priceless...always was... always will
I say if you can make your own work hours and able to kite everyday that there is enough wind and as a bonus waves ...go for it
I say if you can't water kite all year round and want to....you can move...go for it
I say if you have a kitesurfing addiction and that it is the only exercise in the world you care about to do...go for it

:cheers:

I think every one with high school diploma here understands that you just CANNOT kite every second day for 20 years... weather conditions, personal stuff, etc...
so stop your stupid bullshit..
you just discredited yourself with your previous claim (20 sessions since Feb 18)

Dude,
just go out and effing kite..don't make stuff up.. don't pick up pen battles.. this is stupid... KITE!
OR, if you want to continue in your imaginary journey...
over the course of your 1000s of sessions, how many times have you changed the safety line on your CORE bar?
Everyone who does any serious looping/rotations would need to change those lines once per 30-50 sessions.. so I am guessing 20-50 times? :-)
just puke out a number.. internet can handle it...
BTW, check my woo for number of true sessions since Feb 18...not 20.. cause it's.. impossible but...( I am talking days on the water and not some arbitrary "X sessions per day" thing...

OP

Basically, lots of people have opinions, like arseholes we all have one.

The key thing is attach the bridles to the kite;-)
Then use it.

The only thing people can agree on is that there are plenty of ways to set up the kite and no one agrees on what is perfect for everyone. We all have our personal preference. So get out there, try some different things and have fun.

@ Deniska i was setting you a trap and you did bite :wink:
I knew there was less than 20 days since Feb 18th and that you would correct me .....so good work
Reality was 6 sessions since then....slow time of year for wind it seems
But yes i have kited "on average 15 days" a month for 20 years....come on it's not that difficult to believe...i bet some people kite just as much or even more
I have the ocean almost in my backyard and missing a session because of the wind is happening is very very rare
My personal record of non-stop days of kitesurfing in a row is 34 !
That was a good year of wind where i hit 240
Take care

@ Deniska....You'd really like my green grass palm trees filled backyard near the beach :allbegood:

Here..i just pulled the 2016 Calendar of days of kitesurfing as a no BS example...go ahead add them up :wink:
Of course it's way above the 180 average i'm trying to get through your non-believer brain

Jan = 12
Feb = 16
March = 22
April = 30
May = 26
June = 19
July = 25
August = 16
Sept = 15
Oct = 25
Nov = 16
Dec= 18

That year i kitesurfed the last 2 days of March...every single days in April...and the first 2 days in May = so that was my 34 in a row

That is the worst kind of victim crap I have seen in a while. Use the private message function kids, no one cares. Sorry for beeing blunt, but you obviously can't focus on the topic at hand.

Deniska

If you are a sponsored core rider - what brand pimping bar would you recomend for farkes sake...

Go and set your Shit up like I've done - grow some balls and throw it.

Be sure to report back after your lame mind gets changed instantly with the results.

OP,
As this thread showed, you will get all sort of silly advise from people (the only person who flies 9m kite with 60cm bar; a guy who does not jump, a seasoned veteran who get's confused between 6 and 20, etc..)
As you are new, to this circus, I strongly advise you to take anything posted here with a grain of salt.
Here is a video of someone fairly proficient stalling XR on a loop (not megaloop).. The person got a few ribs cracked...

As to your original question, there is no magical setting that will give you huge advantage in boosting. It's mostly your technique and timing.
