Board recommendations

Postby hookedcook » Sat Mar 09, 2019 2:54 pm

So have been kiting awhile off and on. I'm finally getting to a point where I'm having fun, can stay upwind and jumping. Never really paid much attention to my board because I was always trying to stay upwind and not kill myself. Had a 136 Cabrinha and traded for a 142 liquid force. Now that I'm a little better, might get a better board? Mostly ride only flat water. I'm 180 lbs, and 6 ft tall

I would suggest not getting a replacement, but a additional board with different size for different conditions, either bigger board for lower wind, or smaller board for doing jumps and or tricks.
Maybe even a strapless board if you wanna learn that.

Many good boards out there. What did you not like about the 142x? liquid force? Any plans for your riding that should be considered besides basic jumping and upwind ability?

Hey, I don't know much about liquid force boards.
I used to ride a freeride board and switching over to freestyle board made such a difference. Edging, rider input, pop. I am really happy I switched. I now ride the Naish Monarch and am very happy with it!
