Attachements on the barends look like a potential point of wear.

it looks light and delicate, i bet it feels fantastic to use, but i bet it needs more maintenance than mainstream bars, the bar ends look less than industrial,
i wont be buying a second hand one.

Well,

here is a small review: not a comfortable bar. The bar ends are like a bottle openers, sharp and not ergonomic. Even F1 steering wheel has some ergonomic grip. Release? The pin looks great, but is it proven?

The problem is, with a pin that big it will hit hard into spreader carbon, which is a problem for carbon. Than, carbon might crack all the way to SS ring.

Are they engineers or kids with a bunch of dough?

So it’s a review or you think that’s it’s like that? Anyone with the real deal can tell us a little bit more not a opinion....

Ok, so what is your opinion?

Don't you think we have a quite extensive experience and knowledge with building carbon stuff? Search option can help with that.

No need for actual feeling of the bar with no eva grip on it. It is hard as carbon :)

well I pointed you at the infexion bars, it has soft ends, worldcup racers are using them and he is a one guy company, just doing it on the side, he puts himself at the worldtop in manufacturing these bars, he is a sponsord hydrofoil kiter ( peter lynn).

He delivers very precise work, and at affordable prices.
I have no conection or sales activies with him or for him, but just telling you he is recognised for his nice work he delivers.
I am not into hydrofoilig or whatsever, I have 2 bars with linesets of him which are top notch ( and I can kite everyday, retired , line wear should show up fast , if any, and I loop a lot... )
cheers
dude

Yes you do!
It looks archaic, but feels way smoother than any bar with fancy looking grip that has hard ridges, dents etc in it. Those just hurt your hands and peel off over time. With a "smooth" carbon bar you just sand it again with 400 grit and it is as new with more grip than most EVA bars and unless you have a kite that requires Hulk-like arms to cope with the bar-pressure you don't need a soft layer of only 0.5-1mm.

On the other points I am with you, don't like the big pointy solid carbon barends and a quick release with a big lever that swings open with enough force to hurt your hands should also be a thing of the past.

Trust me, even super thin grip layer is better than nothing.
Smooth feeling is not the same as being soft. I know at least one body part that is smooth on touch but hard on grip ;)

So, for one race, once a month, smooth might be ok, but training every day, soft(er) all the way.
