Anyone ever travel to and ride at Barranquilla, Colombia? I might be going there at the end of April and beginning of May and am wondering if I should bring my gear. Thanks.

Take your gear. The coast from Barranquilla to Santa Veronica is insanely good. Small kite conditions.
And up north of Barranquilla, you ll need a truck, the desert of la guajilla is very good too. Off shore tho.

I drove along the coast.
See the spots in the spot section.
A really nice lagoon close to Barranquilla.

Take your normal kites with you. I know you want power.
Not the windiest season when you go, but should be ok to have fun.

Have a great trip and let us know how it went.

Thanks all. I'm actually trying to get away with just bringing 2 kites and a harness and renting a board there. Planning to get these things stuffed in a duffle bag with wheels along with the rest of my stuff. Much appreciated and I'll report back.

Peurto Velero and Salgar are both "close" to Barranquilla. Both offer flat protected riding and options to walk across the beach to ride in the sea (usually some decent wind swell). Great local vibes at both locations.
