I checked 2 of my bars and steering line pigtails are about 1cm shorter on both.
I was about to ask you to let me know about your bars SENSOR S pigtails
You just answered it...but only 1 cm !! Not 3-4 cm like OP measurements

I've got the older bars and all the pigtails were the same length when new and all are still equal
Red pigtails attach to Left side on the back line and on the front line
Grey pigtails attach to Right side on front line and back line

Are they color coded the same way with you ?
Red pigtails on left side of kite/ Grey on right side of kite

What color pigtails is the longer ones ?
Is it possible that one of the RED and one of the GREY are longer ?

Thanks

OP @BernieTomic1
My explanation really only makes sense if the pigtails on front lines are shorter by 3-4 cm than the pigtails on back lines
But would not make sense if the opposite is what you have

Tell us which pigtails are longer
On your front lines or your back lines
Thank you
I checked 2 of my bars and steering line pigtails are about 1cm shorter on both.
Both sets are fairly new (1-3months; one came as a replacements set and another came with a new bar) but both seen some action.
My theory (and I could be wrong here) is that they originally were about the same length, but then steering line ones, with less load, shrunk a bit.

BernieTomic1, if you have 3-4cm shorter backline pigtails that may indicate more shrinkage due to more use... although 3-4cm seems like quite a bit and you may want to compensate for that...

I don't like explanation that a new bar ships un-tuned, in expectation of future shrinkage.. seems like bad marketing to try to screw up 1st time impressions on a brand new purchase.
Who made the suggestion new bars are supplied untuned?

The newer set with maybe 5 sessions is about the same. The older one with 20 sessions has about 1cm difference

So my theory remains the same - they are shipped equal and just shrink in the process.
If this is true and you end up with noticeable difference (4cm) I would do calibration with pigtails in place.

Thanks for picture showing 1 cm difference
The front lines are grey in color with pigtails grey
The back lines are yellow in color with pigtails red

Now grey pigtail ends with a knot
Red pigtail is a larks head end.....but it is not in it's attached looped position at this point !!

Well if you loop the red pigtails to make it lark around the wingtip line it reduces it's overall length by at about 2 cm
So would you agree that the difference would now be around 3 cm which is close to what the OP is talking about ?

If picture side by side was a knot end versus looped lark head end the difference would be about 3 cm

Does that make sense ?
Thanks

front lines are grey with pigtails in red and gray (to distinguish between left and right wingtips, I guess)
back lines are yellow and white with again red and gray pigtails.
Both frontline pigtails terminate in knots obviously..
I hope this make it clear, but I don't get why this is relevant...

And yes, making a knot out of steering line pigtail will make it shorter by another CM... THis is exactly why I tight them together when I calibrate with my "pigtails on" method.
This basically simulates the lengths when attached to kite's bridle.

Unless the kite's bridles come set up to account for the difference in pigtail length

:thumb:
All lines will become nice and even once attached to kite
Back lines lark head attach to a knot at wingtip line
Front lines knot attach to a larks head at sensor Y pulley line

We need OP to put up a picture of his pigtail problem...that may not even be a problem at all !!
It sure looks pretty even here when all laid out like in the picture
Of course if picture was taken with pigtail with knot versus pigtail with lark's head in " looped position" there would be a significant difference in length

Core have a video showing how to retune your lines,

WITHOUT pig tails.

All lines will shrink over time so need adjusting, this is no supprise.

Dennis thinks that lines should somehow be delivered set up to account for shrinking and is now Ignoring what Core themselves suggest making the entire process about him and how he knows best.

Set the lines how Core state in the video and it’s all good.
