You can't fit a 120cm foilboard in there too?

It looks like several companies are going down the road foil/skim: cabrinha double agent, nobile split, rrd squid.

It s hard to find any test/review of how the skim configuration is performing

My wife and I both kite so we have two sets of gear. The bus is stacked.

I would say that is the worst compromise...

A skimboard can be used as a foilboard yes, if really experienced and sufficient wind, and you dont care about swimming back home without flotation at all.

A skimboard sucks bigtime as a waveboard though, so unless it is for prank riding in the shallows, it is of no use IMO.

Not the route I would ever choose - we are all different I know, just my opinion and experience.

There are other short thick waveboards that works both as a foilboard and a waveboard - go for these instead as it can work really well :thumb:

I always wondered what my foil board would feel like with just the short mast and no wing. Might try it this year just for fun.

I was curious about this as well actually. I'd imagine it'd feel kind of crap since it'd be really long and not the right shape to be a fin, but it'd probably work.
Though to be honest if I were to bring a shorter mast and spend time unscrewing everything and setting it back up, I'd probably rather just throw a second board in my trunk to ride if I wanted to jump off the foil.

Alien air's an odd choice for the super space conscious! That thing is pretty big by foil board standards. You'll do well to sell it once you get the basics. You'll get enough room back for a decent surfboard and a small pocket board, but for sure there are better 2 in 1 option out there.

Do you have any example in mind, working as short board?

I only knew and tried the earlier models, some worked well, but knowing how Nicolas always tune things to the better, the latest ones V3 should work really well:

4'11 Pocket board, wide

And if you want a longer more classic thruster surf shape not too wide, the 5'2

http://zeeko-kites.com/gb/boards/472-ai ... 12796.html

Anyone using one of above V3 models?

I had a 5'1 waveboard pointy nose some time ago, worked perfect for hydrofoiling, but a bit small for surfing - so above boards that are wider and still short should be a better compromise.

Thanks, very hard to find feed back about the pocket air v3 anywhere on the net.
