I think they lost the plot with bars after 2011. Is that actually an IDS bar? Were the mini-fifth lines bars called that? I thought the double front reride (remember that phrase?) was the thing.
Which brings us back to the issues with the fashion statement that is single front safety....
I have had the safety line break on me and that wasn't fun. No way to secure the kite except hand over hand up a line to get enough to wrap.
I didn't like the original Overdrive bars, but the latest ones don't seem to have as much weight at the ends. And Overdrive bars are the only ones that come with strap adjusters so you're stuck.
The second QR ditches the whole thing. I see no issue there. No searching for the leash QR... Same idea as the BRM bar
Crossbow bar pressure after even 2009 was way less than Switchblades... What were you flying?
Less *is* more... Unless it's a cleat. Useless crap.
And honestly, I've walked across a lagoon with a 16m Crossbow I had to safety after a 40 knot squall came through. It was easier walking a kite flying on it's back than carrying it, like I had to last month when the cleat chewed through my main lines...!
