Just got a almost new rebel 2012, 13m. Can i use it with my 2014 5th element bar, without any mods?
Also how is the 2012 compare to newer 5line rebel? I have 2014 and 2016 modells and prefer The 2014.
Also tested The 2013, but did not like it, hopefully The 2012 is not like The 2013

1. Yes
2. I have 2012 and 2017 Rebel (the last real 5 line type). 2017 depowers less (a big negative), has more power (positive) and remains easy and comfortable to fly in strong wind. Now I use the 2017 80% of the time and break out the 2012 when we have onshore wind and waves (the depower is critical then)
I tested 2018 4-line Rebel, meh... nice kite. If you have to freeride with 4 lines I would go Evo (unless you plan to ride grossly overpowered most of the time, then maybe Rebel better choice)

2013 was not a good model year for Rebel........2011 and 2012 were very good...then North redeemed themselves with 2014 model
Yes you can use the 2012 kite without any mods with a 2014 5th element bar
