Shoegoo is quite thick. If you get it on too thick it won't flex well and the wetsuit will rip around the repair quickly. You can thin Shoegoo with Toluene or Xylene, or you can use e6000 which is thinned Goo. The Goos work well if you smear a seam over the top of the repair as well. You can stitch the parts together then do that.
The stuff is great for patching small holes in kites and resealing kites. Though it doesn't stick to silicone like coatings at all, as on Pansh.

Goop and goos are much the same stuff, the marine stuff has anti uv stuff in it so it lasts longer in the sun.
Oh and beware there is a lot of fake e6000 in the world.
