I have got a quote from a dealer on a 8m alpha + 12 m enduro or 9+12m enduro. But would it not be best to pick a 12m alpha + 9m enduro in the first combo? I thought that the alpha was lightwind?

If you are on a twintip or directional then 9+12m Enduro. The only reason you would want a single strut 8m like the Alpha is if you were only going to foil with it. The top end wind range on the 12m Enduro will be much better than the 12m Alpha and I doubt that the bottom end will be much different.

9 + 12m Enduro is a brilliant combination.
There is a fairly long post about the Alpha live here at the moment. Seems like it is quite versatile. For travelling I can certainly see the point, but if that 1kg or whatever it is doesn't matter then the Enduro should be a better alternative.

My actualy combo is:
enduro v2 9mq. for high wind with surfboard or TT jump,
for foiling and ligth have alpha 12, for me is perfect.
Also for only one kite quiver for holiday and spending review my goal is Alpha 10 mq.
