Maaaan ... Kevin get on a different kite or shorter lines. The judges can't give him the scores when he is in a heat with joshua, janek, lasse, liam ... He is going very high but his loops are not getting low. I don't even think he will be able to throw a rotation with his setup

Usual suspects advance, but Nick Jacobsen struggles with a deflated kite. Hopefully he can recover in Round 2.

Round 3 about to start, hopefully. Looks windy enough! Pity about the crappy wave conditions compared with Cape Town.

Yup, constantly focusing on riders coming back in working upwind instead of looking for the next upwind rider about to launch, despite repeated requests from Lewis Crathern, no coordination there. I presume it is actually the director that is at fault, because often they had footage of a "missed" jump and then showed it as a replay.
Anyway, I enjoyed watching it, am very glad nobody got hurt, and as a south african am delighted that Player and Smith took 1 and 2, as Emanuel hoped they would. They deserve a good party tonight!

The wind seemed to get lighter?, enjoyed the show - especially when you know what it is like dealing with 40 knot winds, - changes everything.
Things will change big time when there is finally a comp for goofy footers!
