You are technically right on the timeline. But I am just saying that North has had 4 line SLE's for what, ten years? After which, they finally abandoned the 5th line offerings in bow/delta kites that were concurrent with their 4 line kite offerings. So my correction was only to clarify that while they were not paying the licensing, they were in fact in the SLE market on 4 lines for a large portion of modern kiteboarding's existence.james wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 11:53 amMust have missed you when that discussion was taking place then, which distributor were you working for?
Stop being so quick to always be “right”
Both Naish and North were so slow to the Bow patent( never signed up to it) and then reluctant to the SLE
They both felt 5th was the way forward and eventually they cracked, Naish first with the shockwave then years later North
It was only market forces that pushed it home
I know you will pick apart every line of what I have written to “win” your point of view so do crack on but facts are facts
Again, I am not defending North. We just got off topic about the release, then lots more came up. And I never wish, or strive to be "quick to be always right". It is the argument and objective truth that has validity, not me. The argument should stand on it's own.
