I think it's Matteo who is behind the times, he forgets ozone released a push away CL six years ago
.....This is old news anyway, the new release came out almost a year ago!
So...... Ozone finally decided that they had to create a push away release 6 years ago (2014 available?), while North had completed the evolution of the Ironheart line in 2010? Yes, I do seem to be behind the times..... well maybe in clown world.
I am not pimpin North. I don't even like their kites. Their bars have been good but not great (never would I buy a click bar), though their trim cleats were better than even ClamCleats. But North did make the first good release in kiteboarding that had no issues. Other companies have actually gone backwards during North's rein on CL releases. Now those other companies are finally catching up, and even coming out with some innovation in CL's to differentiate their designs further from North, which the industry views as the standard.
And again, good for Ozone on this one. But if they really wanted to impress the kiteboarding world with a slight degree of care for kiteboarders, they would do what North should have done back in 2010 - Make any superior safety product free or extremely low cost for license to any manufacture. Lots of incidents could have been prevented over many years of kiteboarding if all CL's on all brands were the IronHeart. And that could be the true innovation that Ozone (or Duotone now) could provide for the end users. A degree of care for safety, without holding profit above that.
