Waist harnesses: Prolimit Predator 2016 vs Brunotti Smartshell 2018

Postby guerrillero » Wed Apr 17, 2019 8:28 pm

Hello guys, :bye:

I am thinking of buying one of the harnesses in the subject as both stay under 100 euros and are IMHO quite similar...

I've read some reviews but I have some doubts on which could be the right choice... Among the main features:
- both have a padded spreaderbar with stabilizer wings that should prevent the hook riding up;
- the Predator has a smart PIN release system and a 4-point belt;
- the Smartshell has the so-called H20 Weightlock that should keep it light even when soaked in water.

Has anyone of you tried them?

Any suggestion would be much appreciated!!

Thank you all! :bye:

Aaron

I've been using a prolimit predator harness for two years now.

It's doing exactly what it should do ;)

I'd say it's most important how a harness fits you. If it doesn't fit well it will never be a good harness for you.

What I like most about the prolimit harness is the build quality. I use the harness both for my own riding and for when I'm teaching. So the harness gets a lottttt of use. And it's still holding up great. I'm guessing I can easily do 2 more years with this harness. So that's 4 years in total :)

Thank you Kau for your comments.
Unfortunately I'm not able to try them as they are sold online.
Cheers
