agree.
split mast, removable mast plate. split board. fit it into standard north face basecamp xl...
I wouldn't worry about the added weight of this relatively easy engineering exercise,
I am using on the odd occasion a 2019 slingshot aluminum 91cm mast, when fitted on base plate and Moses adaptor is near 97cm, not that far away from my 101 carbon Moses mast, and to be honest does not feel that much different than my 101cm Moses carbon mast when flying around, even when carrying around mounted to a 2kg board its not a problem at all,(my number 3 newwind moses T38 only weighs in at 2.3kg)
of course it would be a problem if mounted to a 4.6kg board with weighty G10 wings,
but if a sp;lt mast was an option I would be more than willing to be positive about its potential,
I could see variable length sections to add on to the main top section, even a non removable base plate would be ok on a carbon top section.
come on you guys bring it on.
