f-one mitu size

Postby waitz » Tue May 07, 2019 5:18 pm

I am 178cm/72kg, and I have the first 5'10" f-one mitu model.
I also have a 5'1" slice convertible, and I'm exploring the differences.

The slice is incredibly responsive and fun, and also a bit skittish when it picks up speed, and I like that I can also learn foil with it.

The old mitu feels a bit large, but I like a board with a nose, so I'm considering to replace it with a shorter & newer year, even though the first one is such a beautiful board.

The question is, which size of the mitu do you guys recommend, and also which year, as I understand the mitu has changed characteristics over the years.

I use it both in smaller waves in Holland, and in larger conditions in Cape Town.

Thanks for input.

I have owned Mitu 5'8'' 2015 and 2016 , Mitu 5'6 2017 and 2018 and now own Signature 5'6'' and Slice 5'1''. I would recommend you keep the slice and complement it with a 2019 Signature 5'8'' or 2020 Mitu 5'8'' which I was told will be more wave orientated then the 2018 and 2019 models.

Thanks for the tip. In hadn't considered the Signature, so I'll wait a few months until the new mitu is out, then check them out.

The Signature is being replaced next year by a new board but couldn't care less. If you can get this years at a better price grab it.
