Hello all,
Does anyone have a link or information related to load rating for seat harnesses in general? I've searched the site, and various manufacturers sites but do not see anything about load ratings, harness weights, etc.
I wouldn't worry about load ratings, as they are more than capable to hold even if you are super heavy IMO.
The things that might kill your harness after years of use, is either the belt where it goes around the spreader bar ends where they can gnaw from the sides (be careful to check often if hidden), or the sewings.
The spreader bar itself is really strong.
Only if a defect in the production, the hook can break, as we have seen many years ago on quite some bars, a bad welding.
Weight I think you have to check if you can find a surf shop, and even better, try and buy there so you KNOW it fits
