So the new inflate (which is what I am used from Cabrinha) will be on the pivots ?
Hmmm I may have to wait

You can see it on the wing surfer website. Looks like an SUP style inflate valve. F-One uses something similar.

Some view the SUP style valve as a negative because shock horror you need an adaptor, which comes with the kite and is easy to replace if you ever needed to. The system is way better than any other I’ve used, really quick and easy to inflate and deflate, and the valve at the kite is easy to replace if it ever went wrong. Seems like progress to me.

Pivots. In 7 and 5 I will stay with the Slash and keep my current models as they have not been used that much.
In 14 I have the current Boxer, which I also really like.

How annoying is the octopus aside from repairs ? It seems like an extra step to open and close valves on the struts. Worth waiting ?

I've owned several Naish kites with the octopus system. I've repaired a strut leak and also replaced a valve. Is it more difficult than traditional connection hoses from the leading edge bladder...yea probably, but I watched a video on how to repair and its held for years. Wouldn't stop me from buying a 2019 or prior kite (assuming you got a good deal).

I have a preference for the octopus system (I have both types). Possibly slightly more difficult to repair (on the modern octopus, the older ones were a different story) but a marginal difference that only happens rarely. The positives outweigh the negatives, it is only the odd keyboard warrior who thinks otherwise. If you can get a good deal on an older model I certainly wouldn't be waiting because of the octopus system
