So per "Poacher's" post above, has anyone been able to verify the "change" in wingtip design that only Real seems to know about? Anyone out there had a chance to give the new Pivots a good test session? If so, what's your feedback? Do you notice any real change in flying characteristics from previous years? I have 2017 Pivots and a friend interested in buying them from me so I'm contemplating the 2020s. Thanks.

Ok if you look where the back line pigtails are. Compared to 2016-19 they are more rounder. The 2020 pivot have a small about 4-5 inch flat section now compared with past models. It's a very minor change but to me it looks likes maybe less distortion from heavier riders and slightly more pull in loops and turns

I have put the 2020 8m on top of the 2019 8m this morning. The shapes of the kites are identical.
No changes at the tips whatsoever. Width is the same, connection points of the bridle are the same, back line connection points, shape of the LE, everything is the same.
I would have been surprised, if that was not the case, because Naish would not have missed the opportunity to talk about a news.

I like the new main valve by the looks of it, have not pumped the kite up yet. Sits nice and flush with the LE and is covered by a neopren pad.

Thanks Dirk, informative.

So am I correct in assuming then that ditching the Octopus is the only relevant change this year? Or have they further reduced diameters of LE & struts, or some other things?

On the website they say that they changed a seam in the canopy which should have an effect on the feel. I did not look at this. Maybe I am able to ride the kite this evening or on the weekend. Not sure if I will notice anything. I think I won´t be bothered to ride both kites side by side.
Apart from this it is the inflation system which has changed.

Does the 2020 Pivot have a "static bridle platform" (pulley-less bridle)?
It has one slider/pulley.

Hey Dirk - Did you get a chance to ride your new 2020? If so, any noticeable differences to the 2019? Just checking as I've got some unjustified "new Kite-itis" as my 2017s are just fine. Ha.

Crazy that the tips are the same, looks so different pausing the video from real and comparing it to 2019 pivot pictures. Dirk can you pump them up and put them into each other? I can't be this blind :?:
