You forgot

-- 20 years into wingsurfing a new way to ride with the wind comes along---and this one goes full mainstream.....and wingsurfers all around the forums start complaining and discouraging the effort

Happens every time.

It’s year 2025 - Best wingsurfing comes with single point inflation. Other companies push revolutionary split strut wingsurfs.

Crosswind - a movie about early days of wingsurfing where guys on 15 ft surfboards ride holding garbage bags above their heads. Fred Hope looks so young in the movie.

Year 2027 - quick release is invented so wingsurfs are not tied to the riders wrists

2028 - a guy in a funny top hat points up on a fellow wingsurfer being pulled into clouds updraft

Later development:
- wingsurf crane jump. People claim it’s fake till the full video is released.
- three wingsurf outlaws head out to Antarctica to boost over icebergs and to explore inland flats. They meet Hustler video crew with girls shooting the other video. Naked babes on the necks of brave wingsurfers provide quality material for the rest of the sport to show at work and say “that’s also wingsurfing’

- long arms vs. short arms wingsurfing. Arm extensions for lightwind
You might be onto something here that might make this work.
Maybe some telescopic carbon fibre sticks with quick connect pig tails. Or could it work even with some rope or lines.
Though that would make it difficult to control without some control device, so it probably would not work well.

If a harness is desired, why not just use the wing leash you see many use, and put it with the right length close to the wing COE so it is neutral :naughty:
