I think if you get it really tight it can be hard to open without loosening a little bit.
I am cinching my harnesses really tight, but still no issues with opening the clip. I guess one can have problem closing the lever if the harness is so tight that the buckle can not reach its spot on lever's inner side. But honestly that would be an extremely rare situation.
@blhah1 - I am using it with 2018 RideEngine. It will work with all harnesses using 2.5cm webbing straps, but one have to take into account that the flaps(wings) need a place to slide in on the side of harness. With my size S harness the width of the side "pockets" is barely clearing the flaps width.

With stealth bar do you set up the harness once and then just use the clip to put the harness on or you have to undo the webbing and tighten it again every time like with other harnesses? Saw a stealth bar today in a shop and seller said that you need to undo and tighten the webbings very time anyway. Thought that the point of stealth at was to eliminate exactly that annoying part about harnesses. Did I misunderstood?
Nope.
It's pretty much set it and forget it. The only variable for me has been a adding thicker wetsuit as the water gets cooler here.

Do you know which other models/brands it works with offhand? Ion? Dakine?
Ion and Dakine for sure. Also Manera's Eclipse harness, Ride Engine, Brunotti, & Prolimit.
Depending on the model and/or size, I know some "other brand" harnesses, the Stealth bar wings fit snug or need to be trimmed a bit to fit.

Thats no true for me. I still need to loose and re tighten it if i remove the harness, what was a big disappointment for me. Same with the click bar. None of them really works as they suppose to. Unless riding with the harness quite loose. Maybe is just myself tightening too much, but for me, doesn’t work.

I wear mine super tight, and whilst it is 'difficult' to do up, and undo, it is possible. Still not perfect though.
I have also found that I preferred the fit of my old Ride Engine over the Majestic x.

I think there is not a lot to grip when loosening I find it really hard to open when tight. If there was a bit more of a recess or larger wing on the clasp it would be easier.
Just replaced the rope after continuos use since May. Foiling and surfboard using duotone rope slider cloop.
Note the small loop was a bit tight but is easy to loosen as there is plenty of extra inside.

I looked again at changing my harness for one and the price of the bar in the UK is up from around 79 in May to 99 now, is this true for everyone? (a 25% increase)

$89-$99 in USA, but not at all retailers. Demand > Supply ---> economics 101
