Got caught out in a 40-50 knot hail storm yesterday. Bloody hell it hurt. Luckily I was wearing a helmet and sunnies. At one point I had to drop into the water and get as much of my body under the water as possible to stop the hurt.
Side note. That was some hard out shit on the hydrofoil. 3.7m steam train swell 30-35 knot. Man the hydrofoil pulls so much power out of those fast swells. It was madness level stupid.

Windsurfed the 'Nak decades ago in very mellow 6m2 wind and logo-high swell, couldn't imagine the waves on a 40 - 50 knot day PLUS hail.
Glad you are still with us !

Last time I was out in hail, I paused at the beach and kept my twintip between me and the hail

Imagine trying to get out through 3.7m surf holding a floating axe in one hand and a bloody wing in the other. How would you punch through the breakers? impossible!
