Someone should ask Ruben about bars with new systems...

I can't see Core coming out with anything unless it's been really tried and tested thoroughly and isn't the whole industry's bars being reviewed at the moment for ISO testing, didn't I read that somewhere?

I can weigh in here with what I know, it is true Core have been working on a new bar, those of us that like the existing system were counselling that the twist should remain and if push away were also to be a part then the two should be combined, the twist release actually works better and more reliably than some systems I've sold in the past. OK if you've been raised on Core, but for folk who brand switch probably not so good particularly if you're new to kiting.

Anothger improvement would be suicide system, the current one is kinda.. meh - North, airush double ring is the best. I can't see a reason not to implement it to the core bar.

And do not get me wrong. Sensor bar no.1 was ahead of its time. Line untwisting in 2010 (?) damn, that was great. The new one works great as well. Very smooth.

Core says the kites are lighter. Can someone do a weight comparison of the same sized XR4, XR5 and XR6 kites? And the light wind versions?

The XR4 and XR5 lightwind versions were heavy compared to the competition. It would be interesting to see the XR6 LW weight.

Bar pressure is increased with the XR6 over the XR5. The XR5 had increased bar pressure over the XR4. Can someone compare the bar pressure between the XR4, XR5 and XR6?

The XR6 jumps look less floaty. Any real user opinions?

Ahem, here in Europe we have something called Hyperbole, in this case ironic Hyperbole, it's a historic thing, obviously not at all geared to modern snowflake sensitivities, but consider it part of your further education and thanks us later...

Now a bunch of lads were up early doors to catch the wind and tide here in the Sunny South East of the UK in around 25-30 mph so an 8 mtre got a good going over by several of them, and they all agreed it felt different to the 5, comments were smooth, more feedback at the bar, obviously an 8 is going to go skywards and is going to be quick turning anyway. I've asked them to comment here, but like most folk they're a little thin skinned to be exposed to US trolltools, so are reluctant, but I'll see what I can do, I'm going down tonight to try for the evening tide.

As for the factual stuff, they (Core) have done things like shortening the inflating tube lengths, thinning down the struts, to make weight savings, they've altered the chord of the main canopy foil shape, to reduce drag yet still maintain climb and height but the effect is to speed the kite up for our speed and race circuit friends and the bridling has been fettled a tad.

Anyway there was nothing but big grins and thumbs up this morning, so, so far so good, over to the rest of you.
