Control Line problem

I just purchased a airush porogression bar and 10m kite. Took it to the beach. Laid out lines and all are equal.

But when cpnnected to kite the middle left line has a lot more slack than the middle right. When I launch the kite the result is the middle left wraps around the left line resulting in backstall and out of control kite. This happens very fast.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks
S.

Is it on an Airush kite? Are the bridles the same length?

Dear Peabody,

Thanks, I confess I did not check the bridles and compare lengths. But it is a brand new kite. Its an Airrush DNA 2016 model.

I am hoping that all that is needed is to trim the kite a bit, but there was a fair bit of slack making that tricky.

Check that the red flagging line is fed through the Y piece as shown below, and that it jams correctly so that when the kite pulls it, it stops at the Y piece and cannot feed through further.

The Y piece should act as a 'stopper'- preventing the red flagging line from moving further toward the kite.
(Perhaps your flagging line was not assembled properly- ez to fix if so)
